My Wife is Awesome!

God has blessed me beyond measure with an amazing wife!

I can't even begin to tell you all of the ways that she is better than me or scratch the surface on how wonderful she is. This business of selling our home and most of our possessions, leaving behind our friends and family, and moving across the country to take on the role of a pastor is a big deal and Melissa is feeling the weight of it all. Still, she plows right along doing a fabulous job of being a mother and a wife and a friend.

Have you read Melissa's blog about the move? serving-in-seattle.blogspot.com

I have really enjoyed reading her thoughts and hearing her ideas. I have a new appreciation for who she is a woman and as a child of God. She stretches me to be better than I am!

"Lord, thank you for blessing me with such a wonderful wife! She truly does make me stronger and fills my gaps. Your wisdom and providence are beyond compare!"

He must increase, I must decrease.

  1. Awesome posting, Jason! Whatta way to build up your wife. You are an inspiration to me. I need to build up my wife more too. Having recently moved, I know what our wives have to go through in adapting to such major changes. Covering you all with my prayers.

  2. Awesome words of praise to build up the most important person in your life: your wife! You are an inspiration to me to do this more for Zoe. Having recently moved, I can relate to you. It's tough for our wives to make such a major change, but encouraging to have their support as they willingly follow us wherever the Lord leads. I'm covering you all with my prayers.

  3. Love the picture of the two of you when you first dated. We are fervently praying for the Holy Spirit to reveal His perfect plan to you about how to best sell your home. We can't express the gratitude that God has shown to our little church family to call you to join us, and we are waiting with open hearts and arms to include you. Love your closing byline: "He must increase, I must decrease." In Christ's love, Keith and Tricia

  5. I've seen her in action already, and I agree... you were truly blessed! I love that she is confident enough in herself, her Lord and her marriage to be able to be as transparent as she is.
I have a suggestion.... every once in awhile... take a Sunday off, leave the boys with one of us and take a road trip to your chicken place. Or somewhere. Darryl will be glad to preach. I'm sure of it.
